We've come to the bridge, so let's cross it

City leaders on both sides of the Saco River are using vision and critical thinking to plan an economic rebound in our two cities.

City leaders on both sides of the Saco River are using vision and critical thinking to plan an economic rebound in our two cities.

Read today’s story in the Journal Tribune about the pedestrian bridge designed to connect the downtown districts of Biddeford and Saco. A livable, walk-able downtown district doesn’t just appear out of nowhere. It needs to be planned and thought out. So many good things are happening in downtown Biddeford-Saco, and this is one of them.

The Offices At Saco Island are happy to be a part of the project, and to cooperate with city officials on both sides of the river. The Pepperell Mill Campus is playing an equally crucial role, and has been a true leader and visionary by raising awareness about how vital and energizing living or working “downtown” can be. Congratulations to everyone involved for all the hard work so far. It’s paying off. Let’s keep at it!
